Earlier I built a corner shelf for the kitchen. The bench top is so much tidier that I built another one for the other corner.  Just fitted the latest one to the wall. More need to be done such as wiring.  Will have a run to Bunnings tomorrow to get the electrical accessories I need.

My next project is to build a number of floor cabinets to fit underneath the bench top.  Hopefully by then the kitchen will be more organised.

I built this in the Deloraine Community Shed (or men's shed).  The shed has very good machinery and there is a staff there teaching/supervising shed users.  The shed is mainly for retired men and the guys there are super friendly and helpful. Best of all is that they welcome women.  The guys at the men's shed in Exeter told me "women not welcomed" - what an awful attitude.

Tasmania is still very much in a rural/agricultural mentality where male dominance is prevalent. As an island state, change is very slow.  详情 回复
