Does a career in biomedical research interest you?

The Menzies Research institute is the state’s leading medical research institution. We have many PhD graduates and comprehensive training and research programs. Our graduates often go on to become successful independent researchers.

Recently, Dr Changhai Ding from the Menzies Research Institute has been awarded “The Rising Star” grant ($25,000 per year for 3 years) by the University to fund a PhD student. The PhD project, which is based on two National Health & Medical Research Council (NHMRC) projects, will determine the associations between physical inactivity, inflammation and knee osteoarthritis using state of the art methodology (e.g., MRI). This study is fully funded and well underway.

Dr Ding is a Senior Research Fellow supported by a NHMRC Career Development Award. Co-supervisors Prof Graeme Jones (Head of the Musculoskeletal Unit) and Assoc Prof Alison Venn (Deputy Director of the Institute) have considerable experience in the conduct of NHMRC funded research and supervision of research higher degree students.

真好

非常羡慕澳大利亚教学体制,公开公正的原则国内讲了许多年,但离实际还有距离。我的一个同事,得了类风湿关节炎(又称不死的癌症)非常痛苦。希望、祝愿丁博士早日成功。
