怎么我朋友前两天去,回来说那边污染很严重,不漂亮

污染?  I don't know what he is on about, you have to go through World Heritage area to get to the West Coast.  It is one of the best protected place in Australia if not in the world.  
However, Queenstown is a mining town and there's many trees in those area.  Further, West Coast rains 2/3rd of the year, so it may not look that pretty when it rains.

真希望，早晨去东海岸看日出，傍晚去西海岸看日落。
