各位可能也发现了，被诽谤者“Elaine”我和刚发的帖子里的人有重合，没错就是她。 请某些人不要让我们有所怀疑。

朋友，首先，我也不知道你是谁，但是你说还法律协助，我有确切的指出我要说的人吗，难道全澳洲就只有一个elaine yang吗，还有这是澳洲不是中国，defamation在澳洲是要是公民才能受理的，而且这是发泄生活，我不知道我们说的是不是同一个人，但是假如要是不是的话，那我也可以告你defamation on me

Hence, the laws applicable to offline material are also applicable, in principle, to online material. However, the courts are being called on to work out how existing principles are to be applied to new contexts.

    That is incorrect, defamation applies to every person in Australia.  In addition, defamation also applies to comments made on Internet.

I should also note the case you've quoted was back in 1993, do you know how much law can change in 17 years?  You can find the defamation Act on www.thelaw.tas.gov.au.
