我在你们的a fearful letter of an International student 里面看到2句自己很熟悉的话.. 我没反对信的内容,我觉的信后面的签名很不妥 "-- Chinese Student and Scholar Association on behalf of All International Students"
This case and the racist incidents that are experienced by many international students are two separate issues. They should not be mixed together and stirred up any misunderstanding amongst the different races residing in Hobart. The best way to seek safety is to know what are the best way to protect yourself and avoid getting yourseld into undesirable situation, and not doing something which is risky yet turn around and demand for protection from authorities. I have been here a number of years, and some of my best friends are locals Aussies/Tasmanians. I am not siding anyone, but I feel that there is a need for us to be fair when we make amy comments or take any actions like sending out such a letter. As for representing ALL international students, I am not sure how the Chinese Student and Scholar Association could do that without even consulting ALL of us before sending this letter out.
